Abstract: |
The study area was located in an area of archaeological potential, although it was difficult to identify specific areas of archaeological interest other than those relating to industrial and military/defence remains. There was a single Scheduled Ancient Monument in the area and seven Listed buildings. There was the possibility of the presence of material from the Palaeolithic period to the Second World War. The archaeological mitigation strategies would depend on the assessment of the potential impact of specific proposals. [Au(adp)] |
