Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring was carried out during the excavation of 77 geotechnical test pits. These revealed information about the original topography of the site, and several horizons of peat were identified. It was recommended that further archaeological investigation be undertaken across the central and eastern portions of the site. However, the far western area, and much of the southern boundary, was considered to be archaeologically sterile. Therefore, it was not recommended that any further work need be undertaken in these areas. [Au(adp)] |
