Abstract: |
Research indicated that the site lay on the south side of the Egham Causeway, within an area of known archaeological potential from the prehistoric to the medieval period however, no archaeological finds were recorded within 250 metres of the site. The underlying truncated alluvium lay over undulating sand and gravel natural which suggested that former braided channels may have been present with prehistoric activity on the drier eyots. [Au] |
