Abstract: |
The evaluation identified no deposits or features associated with Offa's Dyke suggesting that it lay within a planned gap of the earthwork. Roman activity in the vicinity intimated by the discovered of two residual sherds or Romano-British pottery recovered from a buried former land surface. In addition, the evaluation also identified a stone rubble layer interpreted as a road or trackway depicted on the 1838 Tithe map. [Au(abr)] |
