Abstract: |
Evaluation trenches were excavated on a proposed development site. In trench 1 the compacted pebble remains of a turn-pike road were identified. In trench 2, late medieval pits and ditches were identified and in trench 3, the foundations of a wall and the remains of the late 19th century route of the turn-pike. In trench 4 a 19th century infilled pond was identified. [Au(abr)] |
