Abstract:		 Four evaluation trenches were excavated in an area proposed for housing redevelopment. All trenches encountered deposits of Saxo-Norman date. Features identified included walls, post-holes, large pits and a ditch terminus. Large quantities of pottery, mainly of late Saxon date, and animal bone were retrieved. [Au(abr)]
