Abstract: |
An archaeological excavation was carried out on the site. A section of the Roman New Way Road was identified, truncated by later Roman quarrying. Part of a Roman field system, a horse burial and a Roman inhumation were also identified. Medieval and post-medieval ditches were identified and evidence of the reuse of the Roman road was also encountered. [Au(abr)] |
