Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the construction of an office building. Monitoring was undertaken during the excavation of the beam trenches between the pile caps, the service trenches and the excavation of the lift shaft. Throughout the excavated foundation trench system archaeological deposits dating from the late 14th century through to the present day were found. 19 of the 33 identified archaeological deposits were brick walls, 5 were brick floors and 9 were miscellaneous layers and dumps. Two lithographic stones and one bone needle/pin beater were also recovered. [Au(abr)] |
