Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out at land adjacent to Blue Chip House. A group of features of medieval/post-medieval date were found. Medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds were found and a small number of animal bone fragments and possible whetstone fragments were found. Beneath c.0.3m of windblown sand was earlier curvilinear feature, possibly a small circular enclosure associated with later prehistoric transhumance practices. [Au(abr)] |
