Abstract: |
Quarrying from the early 19th century would have removed any archaeological evidence from previous periods in a substantial proportion of the area. Ridge and furrow survives on the southern edge of the quarry area. This has been recorded as part of a previous evaluation scheme. Evidence for quarrying survives within the area, in the form of the quarry and its soil heaps. No structures are visible. Earthworks relating to a tramway still survive. [Au(abr)] |
