Abstract: |
<summary>An evaluation was carried out in advance of a planning application on the site of Ravensbury Mill, located within an Archaeological Priority Zone. The present brick-built mill building is on the site of a series of earlier mills. From documentary evidence it seemed that the earliest known mill was built shortly before 1650. Sample trenches revealed a good archaeological sequence from at least the Medieval to the Post-Medieval period. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea}{italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} GLSMR021840, 021841 |
