Abstract: |
Desk-based assessment identified that the site, located within an Archaeological Priority Area, was of high potential for Middle Saxon deposits of the nationally important Lundenwic settlement and emporium. The assessment also identified that part of the former cemetery of the Parish of St. Mary-le-Strand occupied the north east corner of the site. Interments took place here from the 18th to the 19th century.[Au(adp)] |
