Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of foundations for a new residential unit on the site of the former Queen Mary's Hospital, to the north-east of a Late Bronze Age enclosure which had Scheduled Ancient Monument status. No archaeological features were observed, however, two worked flints were recovered from the interface between the topsoil and the underlying natural chalk. [Au(adp)] |
