Abstract: |
An L-shaped trench had already been dug by the site owner to discourage squatters and it was agreed that this was to be used as the archaeological evaluation trench. A sherd of Roman pottery was overlain by a post-medieval 'ploughsoil' which contained one fragment of residual Roman tile and another of Roman pottery as well as a small assemblage of common post-medieval pottery. No further archaeological measures need be undertaken in relation to the proposed development. [Au(abr)] |
