Abstract: |
An evaluation ahead of development revealed a section of Roman ditch. This was probably another part of the ditch recorded during an earlier evaluation by St Albans Museum Service (1995) to the south of the present site. Roman activity, probably associated with a known villa, was likely to have occurred across the site. Some prehistoric activity in the vicinity was attested to by struck flints recovered. [Au(adp)] |
