Abstract:
The evaluation established that no probable archaeological deposits or artefacts pre-dating the 17th century were present. A dubious post hole in Trench 3 was not dated and a linear feature in Trench 5 contained a single sherd of 17th-18th century pottery. These may have represented post-medieval boundaries. A probable quarry feature in Trench 7 lay close to the margin of a quarry pit shown on a 1954 OS map. [Au(adp)]
