Abstract: |
The archaeological evaluation established only limited evidence for archaeological activity on the site. The finds recovered indicated an 18th to 19th century date. Four large pits were identified and were likely to have been former rubbish pits. Other post-medieval features recorded comprised two narrow drainage channels and a stone culvert or soakaway. Two associated ditches may have represented earlier activity, possibly Anglo-Saxon. [Au(abr)] |
