Abstract: |
Following the evaluation in 2001, a watching brief was carried out during the demolition of the buildings on the site. This was, in turn, followed by a partial excavation of the entire site. Discovered were medieval quarry pits, foundry pits, the remains of Tudor buildings, evidence for post-medieval horn core working and tanning and post-medieval brick lined cess pits. [AIP] |
