Abstract: |
Salvage recording was undertaken at this site in advance of the construction of a new farm building, within a possible medieval moated site. An L-shaped earthwork to the south-east of the farm has been interpreted as the remnants of this moat. Within the area of the development, no finds or features were seen that pre-dated the modern period. There is little potential for archaeological deposits relating to the moated site to survive within the development area because of truncation from modern farming activity.[AIP] |
