Abstract: |
From cartographic and documentary evidence for the area, it can be shown that the site may have been subject to past human activity within the prehistoric, Roman, medieval and post-medieval periods. Syon lodge itself was originally built in the late 18th century and is a listed building. Previous archaeological investigations adjacent to the site have revealed archaeological remains. It may be required that an archaeological evaluation be conducted prior to planning consent to assess the nature and extent of any archaeological remains. [Au(adp)] |
