Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out at the site of Lincoln's Inn during the excavation of drainage works. The layout of the major buildings on the site had changed little since the 17th century, so that potential for medieval remains was high. Human remains were discovered in the area of the chapel, and medieval demolition rubble was found. It was noted that there was good survival of medieval and later archaeological strata, and it was recommended that the policy of monitoring the occasional groundworks within the Inn should be continued.[AIP] |
