Abstract: |
A desk-top assessment of a proposed development site was undertaken. Worked flints, bronze age weapons and Roman artefacts had been recovered from the nearby River Thames, and bronze age peat deposits had been noted on the opposite bank. The site lay within the area of a manor which was given to nearby Westminster Abbey in the 11th century. It was concluded that the site had potential for archaeological deposits. [AIP] |
