Abstract: |
An assessment revealed that 5.25km of proposed pipeline would carve a route through a landscape containing 31 archaeological sites, each within 500m of the works. The proposed pipeline route would cross an area of possible Roman field boundaries with an associated enclosure, a small embanked enclosure and areas of ridge and furrow cultivation. There was also some potential to encounter previously unidentified archaeological remains associated with Bronze Age burial practice and Roman settlement. [Au(adp)] |
