Abstract: |
Cartographic and historical analysis indicate that there is a little likelihood for archaeological remains from the Roman and medieval periods as Erith did not develop greatly as a settlement/activity centre until the Tudor period with the advent of the Royal Dockyards. It is recommended that any archaeological works be dealt with by archaeological condition attached to building consent in the form of a watching brief during the commencement of any ground works for the proposed development.
