Abstract: |
The majority of the trenches were completely devoid of any features of archaeological interest, and the only artefacts recovered were from the topsoil and were primarily modern in date. However, three trenches, at opposite ends of the site, produced archaeological features. Trenches 1 and 2 in Area 1 contained a linear feature and a bowl-sectioned cut, both containing medieval pottery centred around the early 13th century, while trench 8 in Area 2 contained an oval feature of prehistoric date.
