Abstract: |
The works revealed the truncated base of a shallow pilaster or buttress at the bottom of the southern chancel wall. This was interpreted as the remains of a 12th century arch. A vault was also uncovered in the south of the chancel, as well as a line of unbonded septaria. The remains of two Victorian brick structures were found to the north and west of the church, one of which may have related to earlier findings. [Au(abr)] |
