Abstract: |
Evidence of prehistoric and Anglo-Saxon settlement was discovered during an evaluation on land east of Riverdene. The prehistoric evidence dated from the Mesolithic through to the Iron Age and was confined to the crest of the ridge, this may have been due to deep colluvial deposits. The evidence for Anglo-Saxon settlement was in the form of two Sunken Featured Buildings. [Au(adp)] |
