Abstract: |
A geophysical survey of land proposed for a quarry extension confirmed the existence of a well-preserved ditched enclosure of possible Iron Age date, with internal divisions, situated in the eastern part of the development area. The enclosure was believed to form part of a more extensive archaeological landscape of linear boundary ditches, pits and possible ring ditches or smaller enclosures. [Au(adp)] |
