Abstract: |
Archaeological investigation and recording was carried out on the site. The remains of a medieval oven were identified, possibly used for baking, brewing or the drying of corn. The collapsed remains of a clay superstructure, originally supported on a wattle work frame were also identified. Charred grain was recovered from the oven base. Ceramic and stone fragments were recovered, associated with a 17th century building on the site. [Au(abr)] |
