Abstract:		 Twenty two features were recorded, predominately post-holes and pits. Artefactual evidence proved that the low concentration of prehistoric (Neolithic or Late Bronze Age) features previously recorded in another area of land to be quarried (Area 4b) continued into Area 5. In addition, a cluster of features was identified towards the southern end of the stripped area. Two of these features, both pits, produced a significant quantity of ceramic evidence which suggested mid 1st century, Roman, occupation in the vicinity. [Au]
