Abstract: |
Eighteen sites were subject to trial trenching along the proposed route of a guided bus. The majority of the features related to the routes former use as railway line comprising a railway track, balancing ponds, construction areas and access tracks. Other site and features identified were Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age ditches at Balancing Pond 4; The 2nd to 4th century settlement at Addenbrook's Link; Medieval activity relating to Swavesey Priory; Medieval burials and well at Histon Stable Access.
