Abstract: |
The watching brief comprised the observation of topsoil stripping operations by mechanical excavator prior to the construction of two large sheds. A number of archaeologically significant features were revealed during the works. Ditches and a fire-pit of probable prehistoric and Romano-British date were recorded, and pottery sherds and a sizeable assemblage of Late Neolithic struck flint were recovered. [Au(abr)] |
