Abstract: |
Nine trial trenches were excavated across the site prior to the determination of planning permission for the development of the site. A visual search of the standing and demolished buildings on site for prehistoric carved stones and architectural fragments and a basic record of carved rocks known to have come from the demolished buildings was also undertaken. No significant archaeological features were identified. The remains of a stone farm building, dating from between 1857 and 1896, were partially recorded. [Au(adp)] |
