Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment was carried out on land at Oakley Grange, Corby to support a planning application. The majority of the 168ha site proposed for development was a former ironstone quarry, now backfilled and of no archaeological potential. The remainder of the site, c.70ha in the southern part of the proposed development area, was considered to be of medium to high archaeological potential. Further work in the area was suggested, initially by geophysical survey and then possibly excavation. [Au(abr)] |
