Abstract: |
The evaluation, consisting of the excavation of seven trial trenches, was undertaken prior in response to a condition upon planning permission for the construction of 13 houses and an access road. The evaluation trenches revealed a pond, a ditch and deposits of bricks and mortar that may have indicated former buildings on the site, all of 18th -19th century date. No evidence of Shinfield Manor was found. [Au(adp)] |
