Abstract: |
During the course of the evaluation floor surfaces and make-up layers from Romano-British buildings were recorded, sealed by post-Roman rubble deposits. Medieval occupation, in the form of cultivation soils, pits and a metalled surface, was consistent with the use of the site as urban backlands. Garden soils and small structural remains were recorded, associated with the use of the land as gardens to the properties fronting onto Park Street. [Au(abr)] |
