Abstract: |
Although there were no archaeological features identified during the watching brief, the layer of redeposited natural red brown stony clay (Context 1) could have been early post-medieval in date, and might have derived from landscaping works associated with the original construction of the public house. No evidence for deposits associated with the medieval leat that formed the western boundary of the site was identified. [Au(adp)] |
