Abstract: |
The removal of topsoil revealed a thick subsoil deposit sealing the natural sand and gravels. The removal of this deposit was not required as part of the development. No archaeological features were recorded but a number of archaeological finds, including a Neolithic flint arrowhead, a worn sherd of Roman pottery and sherds of medieval pottery, were recovered from the topsoil and subsoil.
