Abstract: |
Monitoring of the foundation trench systems for the new store building revealed a sequence of archaeological structural deposits dating from the 17th and 19th centuries. Artefacts recovered throughout the duration of the watching brief included pottery fragments dating between the 15th and 20th centuries, fragments of animal bone and a large piece of masonry, a corbel, dating between the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
