Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in repsone to a geophysical survey which had identified various linear anomalies. The area observed during topsoil stripping showed no signs of any archaeological features except ridge and furrow and plough lines. Natural gravel outcrops were found in the area of the possible archaeological anomalies indicated in the gradiometer survey. The anomalies were regarded as geological rather than archaeological.
