Abstract: |
The watching brief was undertaken during groundwork for a single dwelling and garage. The site lay within the medieval village core, in an area where a previous geophysical survey had indicated possible archaeological features. The deturfed area and foundations were monitored. The majority of the site had been disturbed by a modern rubbish dump. A single medieval feature was identified, along with pottery and animal bone. [AIP] |
