Abstract: |
An open area excavation was undertaken on a site ahead of a proposed residential development. Archaeological features revealed included: an early medieval boundary ditch, medieval ditches, pits, post holes and a rectilinear enclosure, a post-medieval well containing considerable quantities of horse bone (some partially articulated), large rubbish pits and a small chalk-floored building. Six phases were recorded in total dating to between the 9th century and the 19th century. [Au(adp)] |
