Abstract: |
The watching brief of the area designated for the erection of a new barn located two probable medieval ditches to the east of a moated island platform. These were probably part of the system of outer enclosures used to channel water to the moat itself from a pond at the north end of the site. No evidence was recovered for the preservation of buildings, structures or stratigraphy within the area under observation. [Au] |
