Abstract: |
An earthwork survey and trenching were undertaken in advance of the submission of a planning application for the building of a new house and garage, with an access road and associated landscaping, on the eastern half of the existing paddock. Boundary ditches and hollows, a platform with occupation spreads, and a drainage gully and ridge and furrow were recognised, they represented several phases of medieval rural settlement. Only small amounts of pottery were recovered. [AIP] |
