Abstract: |
The evaluation established the existence of several medieval boundary ditches and the probability of adjacent contemporary occupation. Evidence of the latter included animal bone, charcoal deposits, some iron slag and pottery ranging in date from 11th-12th century to the 14th-15th centuries. The presence of such remains indicated the requirement for a further archaeological response should development on the site proceed. [Au(abr)] |
