Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during groundworks associated with the renewal of a water main. The section of the route designated for archaeological monitoring had been identified as being of archaeological potential due to the proximity of earthworks and finds of medieval pottery. During the watching brief, eight sherds of post-medieval pottery and four fragments of brick and tile were recovered, but no archaeological features or deposits were observed. [AIP] |
