Abstract: |
Construction of a new storage facility threatened archaeological deposits which were not of sufficient value to merit preservation in situ. Excavations revealed a number of walls and floor levels, some of the former at least being dated with the aid of pottery found with them to the medieval period. The excavation added to the limited knowledge of urban activity around Bigg Market. [AIP] |
