Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of a residential building at a school. Prehistoric artefacts and a probable late bronze age settlement had been recorded in the area, whilst Roman burials and building remains had been found nearby. During the evaluation, bronze age pottery and flints were recovered. The probable remains of 1930s greenhouses and a deep pit containing glass and brick rubble were observed. It was concluded that no further archaeological work would be necessary. [AIP] |
