Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out over groundworks performed in preparation for the by-pass. The watching brief area incorporated the former White Hall moated site. The location of the moat was identified after topsoil stripping. Three sections of the moat were mechanically excavated and archaeologically recorded. The lowest fill of the moat appeared to be of eighteenth century date, or later. [Au(abr)] |
