Abstract: |
An assessment was carried out at the site in advance of development. Research indicated that there had been a considerable clearance of buildings during the Civil War sieges of Bristol. Redevelopment continued into the 18th century and peaked in the 19th. There was the chance that garden features from this point may have survived, as well as the continuation of a Civil War defensive ditch. Deposits and structural features from the 19th century should have survived. [Au(adp)] |
